What is Mega Evolution?

Mega Evolution is a feature of Pokémon Legends Z-A that was first introduced in Pokémon X/Y released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. This mechanic transforms a Pokémon into a more powerful form for a short period of time during battle.

To use it, the trainer must carry a Key Stone and the Pokémon must carry a specific Mega Stone. When the trainer activates the stone, the Pokémon transforms and gains new characteristics and/or types.

Mega Evolution is not permanent.

During battle, an indicator appears on the screen that slowly depletes while the Pokémon remains Mega Evolved. When the indicator is empty, the Pokémon returns to its normal state.

How do I get the stones to Mega Evolve my Pokémon?

You will need to collect Mega Stones and create a strong bond with your partner to activate these transformations. Sometimes you will find them after defeating an enemy, you can buy them in stores, or some of the partners you make in the game will give them to you as gifts.
